November 07, 2013

From October 26th to October 27th, The Genron NPO hosted The 9th Tokyo-Beijing Forum in Beijing, China. More than 70 intellectuals participated from both Japan and China and exchanged heated discussions on the bilateral relationships. The forum ended in a great success, ultimately gathering approximately 2,000 participants over the 2 days. On the last day of the forum, the outcomes of the discussions were integrated into "the Beijing Consensus", which includes a pledge for renunciation of war between Japan and China. In this workshop, the main panelists of the forum will debrief the discussions exchanged at the forum and the significance and expected roles of "the Beijing Consensus" for those in Japan.
