3.jpgThe Genron NPO will hold the "Tokyo Conference 2023" from March 23 to 25, 2023 in collaboration with 10 world's leading thinktanks and globally recognized political leaders.

The Tokyo Conference is the first cross-cutting discussion platform in Japan that addresses global agenda with the world's leading thinktanks representing 10 major democratic countries, which share common international norms and values such as rule-based order, multilateralism, democracy and individual freedom. Since its establishment in 2017 by the Genron NPO, leading thinktanks from G7 countries and three emerging economies have participated in the Tokyo Conference.

The objective is to promote discussions and offer proposals that will promote lasting multilateral cooperation over the serious global challenges and the world economy. The opinions and policy proposals that arise from those discussions are then submitted to the G7 chair, and disseminated to civil society to send a strong message to the entire world of the importance of protecting freedom, democracy, and rules-based multilateralism.

The Tokyo Conference has welcomed more than 100 speakers from roughly 30 countries, including representatives from think tanks, head-of-state level leaders and minister-level officials, and experts in various fields.
